Meet Pat

Born almost 73 years ago on Thanksgiving Day, Pat, a nurse for 27 years, has given many people reason to be thankful for her care and compassion.  Pat’s favorite story – the time she went hunting with her fiancé and was sprayed by a skunk. Her fiancé made her ride home on the fender of the old car.  She married him anyway.           

Pat is a widow now, has lost all but one of her children and suffers from diabetes, but is always quick with a joke and a smile.  Meals on Wheels helps Pat manage her illness with special meals and helps her remain independent.
