At Fiesta Market in Sebastopol and Pacific Market in Santa Rosa and Rohnert Park, all co-owned by Ken Silveira, the sense of community between the staff and customers makes both stores natural vehicles for fundraising, especially fundraising involving food. For ten days over Thanksgiving 2007, the staff and customers of Fiesta Market and Pacific Markets raised over $28,000 toward Council on Aging's "Feed-a-Senior" program - enough for more than 8,000 home-delivered meals from our Meals on Wheels program. Now that's community support!
