Help keep our vital services stable ...
The Council on Aging serves approximately 1,500 seniors each day of the week and another 300 on the weekend.
We could not even begin to take such good care of this community's older adults without our 250 volunteers and 85 staff people. |
|
More volunteer opportunities are:
• Meals on Wheels drivers
• Workers at dining sites
• Office volunteers, especially with previous clerical experience
• Pro- bono attorneys for legal services
• Friendly visitors to assist lonely or isolated seniors
• Peer supporters for our Senior Mental Health program
• Volunteers to help us accomplish fabulous fundraising events, such as the Human Race and our Annual Derby Day benefiting Meals on Wheels |
After an interview, all volunteers receive an orientation to the Council on Aging's services, training and a volunteer manual. All volunteers must have a criminal background check if they work directly with seniors.
If you wish to become a volunteer in any of our programs, please call Michele Leonard at 707-525-0143 ext 147 or email mleonard@councilonaging.com. |
