Adult Day Respite Program

Council on Aging hosts the Adult Day Program in community settings throughout Sonoma County. The Day Program serves those 60 and over with memory loss, dementia, and age-related needs. At each location, we start the day with a welcome coffee and conversation to ease the transition of the morning and then move on to our exercise and activities curated for cognitive stimulation and social engagement. Meals on Wheels delivers a nutritious lunch each day, and we also enjoy community members who facilitate music and art therapies. This is a special opportunity for loved ones to have a much-needed break from caregiving's mental and physical demands.

We have our very own space in downtown Santa Rosa, the Alzheimer’s Day Site, where we can serve those with higher needs and support activities of daily living (ADLs) with flexible schedule options.

While everyone should have access to this program, we understand that not everyone may be able to contribute. If you're unable, please reach out to us—you won’t be turned away. There are many opportunities for support.
